Tutorial: Stampin' Up! Boo Notecards

Hello everyone!

Happy Sunday! I've spent most of my weekend crafting and I wanted to share these cute, small notecards I created. They are just perfect if you want to send a short & "spooky" message for Halloween or you can give them in addition to treat bags.

Card Dimensions: 5"x7" scored at 3.5"
when folded card measures 3.5"x5"

Materials Needed:

Here's how to create these fun Halloween notecards:

Step 1:
I started with 2 sheets of whisper white thick cardstock (you could also use our pre cut and scored Notecards and Envelopes ). Cut the cardstock on the 11" side twice at 5". Cut each 5" piece on the long side at 7". Score each card at 3.5". This will make your notecards 3.5"x5" when folded.

Step 2:
I laid each card unfolded and flat onto some Stampin' Up! grid paper. I lined sticky notes along the fold. Using the largest splatter stamp in the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and basic black ink, I stamped, at random, all over the front of each card base to make the splattered background.

Step 3:
I used scrap pieces of regular whisper white cardstock for my stamped images. Using the Howl-o-Ween Treat bundle/stamp set, I stamped the witches hat twice. Once in Rich Razzleberry and again in Hello Honey. I stamped the owl in Tangelo twist and Cucumber Crush.

Step 4:
I used my Big Shot (this is a must have...I highly recommend it) to cut out the stamped images using the framelits from the Howl-o-Ween Treat bundle. Then, I used scrap pieces of basic black cardstock to die cut the BOO! framelit 4 times. I found it die cut best when I ran it through my Big Shot twice. It would probably have been easier if I was using the Precision Base Plate

Step 5 &6:
I adhered the BOO! die cut at an angle to the bottom of each notecard using the new Fine-Tip Glue Pen (this stuff is AWESOME). I placed a dimensional on the back of each of my images and added them to the notecards at an angle as well.

Lastly, I stamped the flap of each of my envelopes (4 bar size) using the splatter background stamp used on the card fronts. I stamped a flap in each of the four colors I used for the images (Cucumber Crush, Hello Honey, Rich Razzleberry, and Tangelo Twist).

I think these cards turned out so stinkin' cute!! What do you think? I hope you'll give these a try. They were pretty easy to make. The die cutting takes the most time but it's worth the end result!

You can purchase this fully finished set in my ETSY shop!

Best Wishes,
LaQuita
